This is like, really surprising news for me ... In an interview for Broadway.com with Kathy Henderson, Aaron Tveit (the dude who plays Tripp on Gossip Girl, yeah I didn't know his name either prior to this) revealed that he was supposed to play Finn on Glee! WOAH-OH!
You auditioned for the role of Lea Michele’s boyfriend?Yeah, for Finn. I had a great audition, and they wanted me to screen-test. When you screen-test for a pilot, you negotiate your contract right there, which could possibly be the next seven years of your life. But at that point, even though I saw the potential that Glee was going to be a huge hit, I couldn’t walk away from Catch Me If You Can or Next to Normal.
Seeing these two pictures together, I must say that they do kind of bear a resemblance. But for the life of me, I can't imagine Tveit playing Cory Monteith's role! I love him so MUCH on And doesn't Tripp kinda look much older? I don't know their respective actual ages, but... Monteith look so much younger, more fresh and more naive... the good things that make up Finn :D. I hate Tripp on Gossip Girl fyi. Do you think he regretted giving this role away? Glee, is like.. so awesome. HA HA.
