This is like, really surprising news for me ... In an interview for Broadway.com with Kathy Henderson, Aaron Tveit (the dude who plays Tripp on Gossip Girl, yeah I didn't know his name either prior to this) revealed that he was supposed to play Finn on Glee! WOAH-OH!
You auditioned for the role of Lea Michele’s boyfriend?
Yeah, for Finn. I had a great audition, and they wanted me to screen-test. When you screen-test for a pilot, you negotiate your contract right there, which could possibly be the next seven years of your life. But at that point, even though I saw the potential that Glee was going to be a huge hit, I couldn’t walk away from Catch Me If You Can or Next to Normal.

Seeing these two pictures together, I must say that they do kind of bear a resemblance. But for the life of me, I can't imagine Tveit playing Cory Monteith's role! I love him so MUCH on And doesn't Tripp kinda look much older? I don't know their respective actual ages, but... Monteith look so much younger, more fresh and more naive... the good things that make up Finn :D. I hate Tripp on Gossip Girl fyi. Do you think he regretted giving this role away? Glee, is like.. so awesome. HA HA.

thank God, this is not happening. :D i like finn way better than tripp.
ReplyDeleteI love Cory as Finn!!
ReplyDeleteMaube Aaron should have walked away from those two shows, because nothing of the is even listed on IMDB, so either they are still so far away from filming them, or he didn't get those either.
And of course he regrets it, thats what he is saying it.
Oh nevermind I look, they were plays.
ReplyDeleteWell, Next to Normal and Catch Me If You Can are musicals (or musical adaptations, for the latter). I agree with Aaron's decision to turn down Glee; He has earned himself a lot of publicity with Next to Normal, and even with Gossip Girls - so much so that I think he is better off now then if he had chosen to do Glee. And judging by the first season of Glee, it wouldn't be a fair showcase of Aaron's talent, like Next to Normal and Catch Me If You Can are.
ReplyDeletei love gossip girl and vampire diaries is the best show in ctv
