With the success of movies like Mean Girls and TV shows like Gossip Girl, ABC Family have decided that they want to jump on board on the 'teen-queen drama' bandwagon and are close to picking up new TV show, Pretty Little Liars. This new show is based on a series of young-adult novels by Sara Shepard which tells the story of four girls who are continuously taunted by text messages regarding their deepest secrets, sent to them by dead person! YIKES!

The dead person mentioned is the former queen-bee of their highschool who strangely disappeared. The text messages were coming from her, and it continues to come even though her body has been found. Creepy, no? I get a much-loved Jawbreaker/Gossip Girl vibe from this story. I am such a sucker for teen dramas so I'll probably be tuning in to watch this if it gets picked up. The word is that Lucy Hale has been tapped to play one of the roles in this new show, more reason for me to tune it. I loved her on Privileged and it'll be nice to see her on the small screen again.
