At his premiere for period comedy, Pirate Radio / The Boat That Rocked, Tom Sturridge brushed aside music legend Sir Paul McCartney for Brian O'Driscoll, captain of an Irish rugby team. Despite the fact that Sturridge grew up listening to The Beatles, apparently he loves Irish rubgy more.

The first time I saw Thomas Sidney Jerome Sturridge was years ago, back when I was still in highschool, in the movie Vanity Fair. His part was very, very, very miniscule but one thing my sister and I noticed was that, damn, this dude is hot. Ever since then he has been on our radar, not fully (we haven't really seen any of his movies), but we knew who he was. He was such a popular choice amongst youtube vidders for Edward Cullen (before the coming and acceptance of Robert Pattison) and so we saw him often during our vidding time. We both understand that he is an actor of substance and a very talented lad. Now this whole snubbing Paul McCartney thing... for me it's crazy! But hey, you like what like.
Pirate Radio also stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Bill Nighy. It will be released in the U.S on November 23rd.
(Interesting fact to know; Sturridge likes XX (the band)! Yeah, he's awesome :D)
