Today I was finally able to catch up on the new series, FlashForward, which I failed to watch last week. The pilot really grabs you, but the next few episodes after it were just okay. It's still good though and I'd still recommend for everyone who loves good TV.
I just found out that the show is actually based on a book of the same title by Canadian fiction writer, Robert J. Sawyer. It's an interesting fact to know. At the beginning of the series, people all around the world lost consciousness at the exact same time for 137 seconds. You can imagine the chaos that ensued. Here's the twist; while they were unconscious they saw glimpses of their futures, six months from where they were at the present. Some saw great things, others saw terrible stuff. Some didn't even see anything! Which could mean that they were either asleep six months from then, or worst case scenario... they're dead (Oh no! Demetri!). It really is a good basis for an interesting show, I hope it does well. It's okay so far, but I'm enjoying it nonethesame.
The episode I just watched is called "Black Swan", underwhelming except for the chasing scene between Demetri Noh (John Cho), Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) and a drug dealer and the end where it was revealed that Llyod Simcoe (Jack Davenport) had something to do with the blackout. Also Dominic Monaghan made his appearance during the last moment of the ep. I guess it was a pretty exciting ending. We'll see how it goes.
